EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HEADLIGHTS:HIGH/LOW BEAM DIMMER SWITCH18/04/2019

Daimler Vans USA, LLC (DVUSA) is recalling certain 2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (Platform 907) vehicles equipped with high-beam assist. A software error in the control unit may prevent the driver from being able to switch off the high beams when intended.

Risk: Being unable to turn off the high beams may result in oncoming traffic being blinded by the vehicle's lights, increasing the risk of crash.

Fix: DVUSA will notify owners, and Mercedes-Benz or Freightliner Sprinter dealers will update the control unit software, free of charge. The recall began June 14, 2019. Owners may contact DVUSA customer service at 1-877-762-8267. DVUSA's number for this recall is VS3FERNLI.
