VIN Lookups: When you use our VIN tool, your VIN is sent directly to NHTSA's public API. We act as a pass-through and do not log or store VIN numbers on our servers.

BestCarRank uses minimal cookies necessary for site functionality. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or cross-site tracking of any kind.

NHTSA APIs: VIN lookups and recall checks are processed through official NHTSA government APIs. Their privacy policy applies to data sent to their servers.

Affiliate Links: We may include affiliate links to vehicle history report services (e.g., Carfax, AutoCheck). If you click these links and make a purchase, we may earn a commission. This is clearly disclosed where applicable. These third-party services have their own privacy policies.

6. Data Security

BestCarRank is a static website served via CDN. We do not maintain databases with user information. All vehicle data displayed comes from publicly available government databases and is processed at build time.

7. Children's Privacy

BestCarRank is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Your Rights

Since we collect minimal data, there is generally nothing to delete or export. If you have contacted us via email and wish to have your correspondence deleted, please email us and we will comply within 30 days.
