• WHILE DRIVING THE CAR THROUGH CORNERS, THE STEERING WHEEL WILL INTERMITTENTLY STEER IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION THAT I'M TURNING. I FEEL THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN THAT CAN LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES, BUT THE FIRST INCIDENT OCCURRED MAY 12, 2017.
• I DROVE THE CAR 4 MILES THEN TURNED IT OFF AND PARKED. UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE AGAIN THE POWER STEERING FAILED. A WARNING ON THE DASH INDICATED THAT THE POWER STEERING WAS NOT WORKING AND TO DRIVE CAREFULLY. I DROVE THE CAR BACK HOME 4 MILES AND PARKED IN THE GARAGE. THE CONDITION CLEARED AFTER I
• THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE. IT REMAINS OUT UNTIL YOU SHUT THE CAR OFF AND RESTART IT.

STEERING:ELECTRIC POWER ASSIST SYSTEM07/02/2019

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2016-2018 Cadillac CTS, and 2017 Cadillac ATS, Chevrolet Camaro, and Chevrolet Corvette vehicles. The electric power steering (EPS) assist system may fail.

Risk: Loss of power steering assist would require a higher steering effort, especially at lower speeds, which may increase the risk of a crash.

Fix: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the power steering gear assembly, free of charge. The recall began June 13, 2019. GM' number for this recall is N182182760.
