• SLIDING DOORS HAVE BEEN MALFUNCTIONING AND OPENING WHILE THE CAR IS IN DRIVE AND MOVING THE DRIVER SIDE BACK DOOR DOES NOT STOP IF THERE IS SOMETHING THERE. SLIDING DOORS FAILED TO CLOSE.
• MY 2017 KIA SEDONA SHUT OFF WHILE IN MOTION ON A STREET. I HAD TO PUT MY CAR IN PARK TURN THE KEY AND THEN RESTART MY CAR. THIS HAPPENS ON 10/31/2019. ROUGHLY 20 MINUTES LATER IT HAPPENED AGAIN WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY. IT WAS TOWED TO THE KIA SERVICE CENTER AND THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE THE ISSUE.

Kia Motors America (Kia) is recalling certain 2015-2018 Kia Sedona vehicles equipped with a power sliding door (PSD). The PSD may not auto-reverse when its closing is obstructed.

Risk: If the door closes on an occupant, there is an increased risk of an injury.

Fix: Kia will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the PSD module software, free of charge. The recall began on June 18, 2018. Owners may contact Kia customer service at 1-800-333-4542. Kia's number for this recall is SC164.
