- • SPARE TIRE HOIST BRACKET BROKE AND SPARE TIRE WAS SWINGING LOOSELY UNDER REAR OF TRUCK. FURTHER INVESTIGATION REVEALED SEVERAL STRESS CRACKS IN BRACKET SURROUNDING THE BOLT HOLE. IF TIRE BRACKET WOULD HAVE BROKE OFF TIRE WOULD DROP TO PAVEMENT AND BECOME A ROAD HAZARD. SOURCES AT DEALER INDICATED
