General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Chevrolet Corvette vehicles. The driver and/or passenger seat belt retractors may lock in a stowed position and become inaccessible to occupants.
Risk: An inaccessible seat belt that cannot restrain an occupant, increases the risk of injury in a crash.
Fix: Dealers will replace the driver and/or passenger seat belt retractors, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 19, 2024. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is N242441390.

The sales dealership and second GM dealership communications with GM tech reads system as OK. BUT DOES NOT WORK. GM system tech says system reads OK BUT THE AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY

- ☐SEATS/RESTRAINTS: seat belt fully retracted and could not be released in first day. had to drive 155 miles without operating seatbelt. this is a safety issue. My build date was 9/22 if you look at the forums this was not the only car built that day with a failed seat belt. seems like bad parts to me.
